Masindi Child Development Federation is located in mid-western part of Uganda,
216kms from Kampala city. It operates in two districts of Masindi and Kiryandongo.
The area covers 04 communities of Masindi, Yelekeni, Bedmot and Tecwaa.
The population of the program area is estimated to be 165,772 people of whom 81,732 are
males and 83,990 are females and 58% are children. The Area supports 3,217 children
directly and over 10,350 children indirectly.
The area enjoys a favorable climate and its rainfall pattern is bio modal.
The main sources of livelihoods are farming, petty businesses, charcoal burning,
marketing, brick making among others.
